Using an Internet connected computer carries with it the inherent risk of your machine becoming infected with one of the many thousands of viruses.
Contrary to myth, having a high speed Broadband connection does not increase the risk of your machine becoming infected. You should however take all possible precautions to avoid your machine becoming infected as it can cause immense frustration cost and lost business.
We would strongly advise that you invest in one of the many excellent Anti Virus software packages to be found in the market.

If you suspect your system may have been infected by a virus, you can download removal tools or do a free scan of your system at either of the following sites:
Symantec European Site or McAfee Security.
Always remember that you should never open an attachment in your email unless you are expecting it from someone you trust. If the attachment has an extension like .zip, .bat, .scr, .exe etc and you are unsure, you should delete the email and make sure you have updated your antivirus software with the latest virus definitions. |
