Ethernet
If you are considering connecting two
or more computers together so they can exchange information
you will need to have an Ethernet connection, these
are either a port built into your computer or are installed
as cards in a slot in the back of your computer (also
known as Network Interface Cards).
In home networks these typically connect
to a nethub via cables or a wireless system. All the
computers connecting to the network will need an Ethernet
card or port, usually at the rear of the computers.
The
Ethernet connection usually has the symbol shown to
indicate it is an Ethernet connection.
Ethernet connection use a series of numbers
to indicate the maximum amount of data they can handle
per second (10/100TBase indicates it can transfer 10
megabytes per second maximum). You will need an Ethernet
connection to connect to the client adapter that is
installed as part of the W3Z Wireless BroadBand Service.
